A parcel from Malaysia

Guess what's inside the parcel?? My birthday presents from my parents! )
Thank you Mama and Abah.
Initially I wanted to take a photo of the unopened parcel, but I was so excited that I ripped off the box right there and then.
In the box was a book - Scarpetta ( yes, now I have 2 copies of that! ) , a box of 20 colourful stabilo point 88 pen (that is my wishlist no 2!), a caftan and a handbag from my mum,a card, and some things for Adi.

The big and heavy present
|

Adi came home from the city after Friday's prayer and said
"I've bought your birthday present"
And I was like
"Ok" *smileeeeeee
And he said
"Besarrrrr, berat pulak tu" (It's bigggg, and heavy)
Waaaaaahh, what could that be??
Did he buy the Kathy Reichs box set which consist of the first 5 books? I did show him the books once at Borders,since the price for the box set is only $49.90, with 20% off.That is considered cheap, 5 book for $39.92, when one book cost $23.00.So I really thought he bought the books.
He said
"I've hide it, so don't go and find it ok"
For a big box set books, where can he hide it anyway? Maybe on the top drawers of the wardrobe, or under the bed, or in the spare bedroom?
It was funny though, whenever I went to the bathroom or doing something in the bedroom longer than I should, he would come rushing with this expression, as if I have already found the suprise.
I really thought I am going to have 5 new books on the morning of my birthday.
But no, instead of a big box, the nicely wrapped box in pink wrapping paper that he handed me was the size of a cereal box or so.And it was not heavy.
"Tipu! Tak besar and berat pun! (Liar, it's not big or heavy!)
And guess what was inside the box?
My third birthday wishlist- a cute little pink Ipod Shuffle
Thank you sayang. Though it's the reverse of big and heavy, I am loving it to bits!

My birthday party :P 1 February 2009

Just a simple birthday party for close friends in the campus. Had the party by the pool, with the idea to jump in the pool after the party. Baked "potato thing", which is actually Irida's recipe that she doesn't know the name of it, so in the end we named it the "potato thing". Bought some biscuits and dips, chocolates, grapes and drink. Rebecca baked a cake of my choice, she came to my house with a 600 pages recipe book and asked me to chose one. And Rachel made a suprise by baking a Banana Caramel Pie. Ibu brought some spring rolls.
Got lots of presents that day. Thanks everyone

Moonlight Cinema - Twilight 30 January 2009

Went to the Moonlight Cinema at the Adelaide Botanic Gardens to watch Twilight with Irida, Rebecca, Rachel, Lesley and her daughter Emily, April and Mew.
Had a picnic before the movie started. The movie was good.
After the movie, we went to Pancake Kitchen

Henley Beach and Pancake Kitchen - 25 January 2009

After the Le Grand Cirque show, we went for a walk at Henley beach. Bought pizzas at Fel Fella and had a picnic at the botanic garden. Before heading back, wehad pancakes at Pancake House.

Posum
|
|
Rachel found a baby posum lying on the ground. Maybe the baby posum fell down from the tree. So she took the baby posum home, and fed her, before putting her back on the tree. Irida and me were on our way to the pool, and we took pictures with the cute baby posum.
