a trip to gorge wildlife park

on thursday, 13th dec 2007, there was a trip to gorge wildlife park for the international students and families organizad by the university. and there was also another 2 lovely women, pat and jannete joined us. the park is about 1 hour drive. there's a lot of animals in the park, and you could actually cuddle a koala 
it was a really hot day and we were all so tired. after lunch, we went back and stopped at the cherry farm to buy cherries.

an evening in roseworthy

i came back quite early from the lab and we decided to go for a walk in the campus. there's kangaroos and wallabies and cows and birds and i dont know what else do they have i the campus.

BBQ Party
|
|
On our 5th day, there was a BBQ party for the Roseworthy Residential College's residents. It was just on time for us. The BBQ was organized by 2 lovely ladies, Audrey - she's in charge with the International student and Lesley - the accomodation officer. They were great, they even took the effort to but halal meat for the BBQ since there are 4 muslims living on campus.
We had lamb chop, sausages, salads, pudings, breads and drinks. Irida brought some cream puff, or in Indonesia it's called Kuih Sus. And I brought some Samosa.hahaha that was my first trymaking Samosa, but people seem to like them very much. I only bought 14 pieces, which is not enough.hehehe maybe next time I'll make 30 pieces.

our 3rd day in australia
|
|
We arrived in Adelaide on Saturday, so all the offices and banks are closed. So, on our 3rd day, which was a Monday, again we went to Adelaide City. Thanks to Irida for showing us the important places in Adelaide and the North Terrace Campus (it's Univ. of Adelaide main Campus) on the 2nd day we arrived.
This time we took the university shuttle bus, which cost us AUD$2.00 per person for 1 trip.The bus took us straight to the Main campus.I had an apppointment with the International Student officer, Ms Jane (she's wonderful), I did my bankcard and my student card.
After that, we went to ChinaTown to buy some Asian/Malaysian food - e.g kicap, sos, rempah, etc.
and to the the halal butcher as well.

on our second day in australia, we went to Adelaide city, which is about 1 hour from Roseworthy with Irida.We took a taxi to the train station and then we took the train.
Adelaide city is nice. We walk along Rundle Street, where lots of shopping malls are located.It was fun.
